DRS Roof-Edge Safety System
|
| Special crack-proof eco-planting troughs, made
from 100% recycled materials, and with hotgalvanised safety
railings, are designed for the edges of roofs. These provide an
environmentally friendly alternative to security railings. An
enormous advantage to safety railings is that there is no need
to drill through the sealing layers for the reinforcement
fittings, and a second is that they allow the roof to be used as
a pleasing garden area. The modular construction allows both
interior and exterior angles to be created as well as straight
runs. |

These troughs
are supplied with railings with vertical bars. Being vertical,
these bars hinder attempts to climb onto the railings. |

The system
facilitates the interchange of various modules. The frame can
accommodate either system containers (50x50x35 cm) or concrete
bases (50x50x5 cm). |

Containers at
the edge of the roof present an opportunity for intensive
planting and enhance the pleasure of the roof garden. |

The safety
foot, frame and railings go together to make up a system 1020mm
long. First, the feet and frame are screwed together using
special screws. Then the railings are fixed onto the portion of
the screw standing proud. Finally, the railings are bolted
together. |
